FairShares Social Auditing
The FairShares Association created social auditing and diagnostic tools that enable supporters and members to participate in FairShares education and/or do social audits of their enterprises. Our diagnostics were developed to support teaching at Sheffield Business School from 2008 onwards, and were designed to help practising managers of solidarity co-operatives (and other multi-stakeholder social enterprises) to develop viable operations and long-term strategies.
Between 2017-2020, these were consolidated whilst working on an EU funded project on FairShares Labs. A published book on creating FairShares Labs, and its development philosophy/tools can be downloaded from:
Sheffield Hallam University (Research Archive)
At the heart of the development process is a series of management techniques to complete a FairShares Canvass which captures the strategic choices of each FairShares enterprise.
