The concept of a Stewardship Member was introduced in V3.2 Model Rules for a FairShares Commons Company, based on the work of Graham Boyd and Jack Reardon, and Graham Boyd's work for UniOne Ltd.
Unlike a Founder Member who has Founder Shares, a Stewardship member has only governance rights, not a right to a share of surplus. They may have a larger share of the voting power during the start-up phase of a company, but this reduces as the organisation grows.
