A member of an organisation created with FairShares Model Articles of Association who qualifies for membership by virtue of being a founder of the organisation (i.e. a signatory to the documents that brought the organisation into existence). In a FairShares Company or Co-operative, Founder members are allocated Founder Shares. Founder Members in a FairShares Association or Partnership have the same rights as Founder Shareholders in terms of governance, but do not own Founder Shares.
